Reado Book Social Foundation
Every book can open a new future.
We give children in Pune the books, study material and working devices their education depends on — free, and delivered to their door.

Who we are
Creating opportunities through education.
ReadoBook is a not-for-profit foundation that began in Pune in 2020. We work with children whose families cannot carry the cost of an education that is supposed to be free.
That cost is rarely the school fee. It is the textbook set in August, the workbook that runs out in October, the reference book nobody in the house can afford, and — since classes moved onto screens — a device the family does not have.
We close those gaps one at a time: books that are checked before they are handed over, delivered to the door, and devices repaired and set up before they reach a student.

Why access
Opportunity begins with access.
A school place is only the beginning. Four things decide whether a child can actually use it — and each one of them costs money a family may not have.
- 01
The books
A full set of textbooks and workbooks can cost more than a week's earnings. It arrives late, second-hand, or not at all.
- 02
The study material
Workbooks, reference books and past papers are what turn a syllabus into something a child can practise.
- 03
A device
When lessons, homework and results all live on a screen, a household with one phone has a child who is offline all day.
- 04
The distance
A library across the city costs a fare and half a working day. For most families, twice — going and returning.
None of this is about a child's ability. It is about what a household can afford in a given month.
What we do
Four things, done properly.
Each one addresses a specific point where a child's education stops. Together they mean a child is not waiting on any of them.

Books for Every Child
New and carefully checked books, handed to children who would otherwise share one copy or go without.

Doorstep Delivery
Because a bus fare across the city is a real reason a child stops reading.

Our impact
Small actions. Lasting impact.
We would rather publish nothing than publish a number we cannot stand behind.
ReadoBook counts four things: books given to children, children supported, devices repaired and passed on, and areas of Pune reached. Those figures will be published here as soon as the foundation has reconciled and signed off its records — and every figure will name the period it covers.

Featured campaign
E-Camp Learning
Most of the devices we are given are not broken beyond use. A battery, a screen, a charging port, a clean reinstall — and a machine that was headed for a drawer becomes the only computer in a household.
E-Camp Learning funds that work: the parts, the repair, the setup, and getting the device to the student.
Donate books
Your shelf can become someone else's classroom.
The textbooks your child finished in March are the textbooks another child needs in June. Story books, reference books, competitive exam material, dictionaries and atlases all find a reader.
Tell us what you have and roughly how much of it. If there is enough to be worth a trip, we will come and collect it.

Donate a device
Give technology a second purpose.
A phone in a drawer, a tablet nobody opens, a laptop replaced two years ago. Repaired and wiped, any one of them puts a student back in a classroom they can reach.
We take smartphones, tablets, laptops and the chargers and cables that go with them.
Device eligibility and collection are subject to verification. Every device is inspected and fully wiped before it reaches a student.
Donate a deviceStories of change
The children behind the numbers.
We are collecting these properly — with the consent of the families involved, in their words rather than ours. The first will be published here.

What comes next
Paying school fees, on merit.
Books and a device get a child through the year they are already in. They do not help the child whose family cannot find the fee for the next one — and that is where a lot of promising students quietly stop.
ReadoBook intends to start funding school and course fees for underprivileged students selected on merit. Deciding who, on what evidence, and how the money reaches the institution rather than the family is work we have not finished.
Not started yet. This programme has not started. Nothing on this site accepts applications for it yet, and no donation is being collected against it.
Be told when it opensTogether, we can put learning within every child's reach.
A book, a device, an afternoon of your time. Any of them moves a child forward.
