Corporate budgets tend to go to what photographs well. ReadoBook spends money on textbooks, repairs and delivery rounds — the specific, boring costs that decide whether a child can use the school place they already have.

ReadoBook is not yet registered under Form CSR-1.
Under section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, a company can only book a contribution as CSR expenditure if the recipient is registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs through Form CSR-1. We are telling you this up front rather than letting your finance team find out at audit.
Until that registration is in place, a contribution to ReadoBook is a straightforward corporate donation — it just cannot be counted against your 2% CSR obligation. Employee volunteering, book drives and in-kind device donations are unaffected either way.

Four things, each with a cost we can show you.
We do not quote a rupees-per-child figure, because costs vary by class, syllabus, language and distance, and that number is usually invented. We will show you the actual line items for a defined group of children.
Books for a school or a locality
Fund a full syllabus set — textbooks and workbooks — for a defined group of children, in the medium they actually study in.

Device refurbishment
Your retired laptops and phones, inspected, wiped, repaired and given to students. Certified data destruction, and the hardware stays out of landfill.

Doorstep delivery rounds
Cover the cost of getting material to children who cannot travel to collect it — the part of the work nobody likes to fund and everything depends on.

Where children appear, we have the guardian's consent on file. We will not hand you an image we cannot account for.
An honest variance
If we spend less than planned, or a programme underdelivers, that is in the report. A partner who only ever hears good news is not being told the truth.
Named recognition, if you want it
Or none at all. Several of the most useful things given to this foundation came from people who asked not to be listed.
You will not find a wall of corporate logos on this page. ReadoBook has not yet built those relationships, and a logo grid is the easiest thing on a website to fake.
