Reado BookSocial Foundation

Volunteer

Give your time. Share your skills.

Most of what ReadoBook does is done by people who have other jobs. Some roles take a morning. Some take a weekly commitment, because a child is relying on you turning up.

Where help is needed

  • Book collection

Pick up donated books from homes and offices, and bring them in.

    A few hours, occasionally

  • Distribution drives

Get books to children — sorting on the day, handing over, keeping the record straight.

    A morning or afternoon

  • Teaching & mentoring

Work with a child or a small group on a subject they are stuck on.

    Weekly, and consistent

  • Event support

Set up, register, photograph, pack down.

    Per event

  • Digital & technology

Refurbish donated devices, or help with the site and the online library.

    Flexible, remote possible

  • Content & social media

Write, design, edit, and help tell the story honestly.

    Flexible, remote

  • Fundraising

Run a drive at your workplace, college or building society.

    Project-based

  • Professional skills

Accounting, legal, design, HR — the unglamorous things a small foundation cannot buy.

Questions about volunteering

01How much time does volunteering take?
As little as one morning. Sorting and checking books, delivery rounds, refurbishing devices and online help can all be done occasionally. Teaching and mentoring need more consistency, because a child is relying on you turning up.
02Can I volunteer from outside Pune?
Yes, for anything that does not need you in a room — content, social media, fundraising, the online library, and professional skills like design, accounting or legal help.
