Our work

Online Library

Free access to books and study material online, for students who cannot reach a shelf.

A girl looking up from the open book she is reading.

The gap

Why this is needed.

Physical copies run out. A title that fifty children need exists in eight copies.

Reference books and past papers are borrowed for a week and needed for a term.

A child who reads ahead of their class has nowhere to go next.

Our approach

What we actually do.

  • A catalogue a student can search by class, course, subject and language.
  • Request a title and it is reserved, then delivered — or read online where a licence allows it.
  • No membership fee, no deposit, no late fine.

How it works

Start to finish.

These steps happen in order, every time.

  1. Step 1

    Search the catalogue

By title, author, class or course.

  2. Step 2

    Request a book

Name, class and where you are.

  3. Step 3

    We confirm availability

And tell you when it will reach you.

  4. Step 4

Read it, then pass it on

Return it when you are done so the next student gets it.

Impact

What this has added up to.

We have not published figures for this programme yet.

ReadoBook keeps its own records of what goes out and to whom. Those numbers will be published here once the foundation has reconciled them and can name the period they cover.

How you can help

Three things that make a difference here.
